Job Summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a Grade III Wastewater treatment plant, Spray Irrigation System, and Class II Wastewater Collection System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze data to ensure proper operation of the facility and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure proper health and safety standards are met.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule work to ensure efficient operation of the plant.
  • Administer and control budgeted funds and assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on operational and repair activities.
  • Interface with state regulatory agencies and client contacts.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Approximately 3 years industry experience.
  • Strong mechanical background with pumps.
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and regulations.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NC Grade 3 Biological Wastewater Operator Certification or higher.
  • Surface Irrigation Water Pollution Control Certification.
  • NC Grade 2 Collection System Certification.
Work Environment

The candidate will be exposed to outside weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
