The Munson Healthcare Urology group is in search of a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to deliver exceptional care to patients within our urology clinics.
This role involves collaboration with Munson Urology physicians to enhance patient care, streamline office operations, and provide comprehensive consultation and follow-up services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Advanced Practice Provider will:
- Collaborate with the clinical team to promote and manage urologic care for patients in the South Region.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and adjust care plans during scheduled office visits, utilizing sound clinical judgment based on comprehensive assessments.
- Oversee patient care in outpatient settings, including conducting detailed history and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing treatment plans.
- Assist with inpatient consultations and maintain accurate documentation of patient histories and follow-up notes.
- Ensure precise documentation of all evaluations and services in the electronic medical record to reflect care provided and facilitate billing processes.
- Communicate effectively with referring and primary care physicians regarding patient management.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide appropriate medical advice and counseling.
- Encourage patients to take responsibility for their health through preventive care and health maintenance.
- Adhere to prescriptive authority guidelines established for Advanced Practice Providers.
- Stay informed about current medical trends and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Participate in medical, nursing, and community education initiatives.
- Meet departmental productivity standards and manage daily appointment schedules efficiently.
- Respond to medical emergencies as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or a Master's in Physician Assistant studies.
Experience: Previous experience in urology is preferred but not mandatory.
Licensure: Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Michigan is required.
