Job Summary
The successful candidate will assist patients with daily activities, provide patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse, and collect and document data. They will also run errands, answer phone calls, and respond to call lights. Additionally, they will perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by the RN.
About the Role
This night shift position offers opportunities to share your talent and contribute to the transformation of healthcare at Prisma Health. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program, and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as turning and repositioning, and transport them as needed.
- Provide patient care as directed by the RN, including non-sterile soaks and simple dressings.
- Collect and document data, including vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection.
- Run errands, answer the phone, and respond to call lights.
- Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by the RN.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program, and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Additional skills and experience include basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, data entry, mathematical skills, and familiarity with patient equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
