MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate MRI equipment in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI scans, to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
- Provide patient care and comfort, including explaining procedures, providing earplugs, blankets, and pillows, and maintaining patient dignity and modesty
- Verify patient identification, check armbands, and introduce yourself to patients
- Assist patients onto the imaging table, based on their condition, and evaluate and correct problems arising from computer software or machine software
- Communicate equipment status with the service manufacturer and Chief Technologist
- Provide necessary patient information and data to assist physicians with interpretation, including verifying informed consent and assisting during interventional procedures
- Completion of a two-year approved ARRT school
- BLS certification
- 1-2 years of current MRI experience and MRI certification
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Long Island Community Hospital provides a competitive salary range of $93,456.00 to $105,456.00 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
