ESL Instructor

Yavapai College is seeking a qualified ESL Instructor to join our team. As an ESL Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Adult Basic Education - ESL in a learning center and classroom setting.

• Teach ESL classes to adult students
• Maintain student records related to assessment, attendance, and progress
• Work with Adult Basic Education program staff to maintain and enhance the program's services
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

• Bachelor's degree in Adult Education or a related field
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain AZ Adult Education Teacher Certification
• Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to learn proprietary Adult Ed database NRSPro
• Previous adult teaching experience required

• Master's degree in Adult Education, TESOL, or a related field
• Working knowledge of AZDE AES assessment requirements, data collection, and state standards for teaching
• Experience administering TABE and TABE CLAS E assessments
