Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each client.
  2. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  4. Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor or program coordinator.
  5. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  6. Assist with household management, meal preparation, and maintenance of a safe and clean living environment.
  7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  8. Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to lift and transfer 70-75 pounds and perform active work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
