Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional legal experience, preferably from a prestigious law firm or financial institution.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership in a state bar.
  • Strong enthusiasm for the evolving payment landscape and a proactive learning attitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of money transmission regulations, consumer payment networks, and card issuance laws.
  • Familiarity with pre-paid card regulations and deposits.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a global context.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dealing with international legal matters.
  • Understanding of GDPR and other data protection laws.
  • Background in fintech or payment service sectors.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $179,563 and $242,938, complemented by additional components of Klarna's compensation package.
