Job Summary

This position provides evaluation and therapeutic management for patients with speech, language and/or cognitive disorders at CHI St. Anthony Hospital, a faith-based acute care level four trauma critical access hospital and healthcare campus serving the Pendleton, Oregon area for over 100 years.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates patients' abilities and limitations to establish treatment goals.
  • Administers therapy according to the established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment and techniques within the scope of practice of Speech Pathology.
  • Educates the patient and the caregiver about the goals of the program, methods of accomplishing goals, how to perform the home program and injury prevention.
  • Recommends adaptive equipment, completes the equipment justification forms and arranges for the delivery of the equipment.
  • Re-evaluates patients, assesses their progress and makes recommendations regarding discharge.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology and completion of CFY year.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competencies in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Oregon Speech Pathologist license.
  • Current AHA BLS Level C certificate within one (1) month of hire.
