Position Overview

The primary goal of this role is to ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times. The following outlines the essential duties and responsibilities expected of our staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness across all locations serviced by Flagship.

Compensation
1st shift - $15.00 per hour
2nd shift - $15.00 per hour
3rd shift - $15.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize industrial cleaning equipment to sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
  • Perform wall and ceiling cleaning, including dusting and washing surfaces, and replacing blinds as necessary.
  • Assist in moving furniture and equipment to access cleaning areas.
  • Remove stains from various surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and solutions.
  • Conduct seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal and lawn care.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and perform heavy lifting as required.
Carpet Care
  • Regularly empty waste receptacles and replace liners.
  • Dust and clean office furniture surfaces.
  • Vacuum carpets thoroughly and spot clean as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of glass surfaces, including entrance doors.
  • Sweep and mop tiled areas effectively.
Break Room Maintenance
  • Manage waste disposal and replace liners as necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and appliances.
  • Ensure sink and counter areas are tidy and hygienic.
  • Sweep and mop floors in dining areas.
Restroom Sanitation
  • Regularly empty waste baskets and replace liners.
  • Sanitize toilets, sinks, and urinals.
  • Sweep and mop restroom floors with disinfectants.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls and partitions.
  • Restock restroom supplies as needed.
General Cleaning Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness of non-carpeted areas, including dusting and mopping.
  • Perform periodic cleaning tasks such as dusting high surfaces and cleaning glass partitions.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
  • Keep janitorial storage areas organized and tidy.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of janitorial tasks is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are essential; some roles may require proficiency in English.
  • Maintain a professional appearance; uniforms may be required.
  • Participation in training and safety meetings is expected.
  • Ability to understand and respond to client needs effectively.
  • Punctuality is crucial for this role.
Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facility maintenance is desirable.
Work Environment
  • Work may occur in various office settings.
  • Safety equipment may be required for certain tasks.
  • Fast-paced work environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to cleaning agents and typical office conditions.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. Employees may need to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
