Job Title: Family Preservation Services Addictions Counselor

Cornerstones of Care is seeking a passionate and innovative change-maker to join our team as a Family Preservation Services Addictions Counselor. As a key member of our professional family support team, you will coach a small caseload of families surrounding drug/alcohol addiction and help them locate the resources they need for long-term treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Coach families to develop coping skills and locate resources for long-term treatment and recovery
  • Work collaboratively with a professional family support team to provide resources, make referrals, and teach new skills
  • Have a high degree of autonomy in scheduling and completing work, including working from home, in the office, and completing home visits
  • Travel in Northeast Kansas as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Social Work or a related field
  • Substance use disorder counseling experience and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance
