DFAM Engineer IV

Austal USA Advanced Technologies is seeking a highly skilled DFAM Engineer IV to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in the development of innovative additive manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to ensure optimal part design and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement additive manufacturing opportunities.
- Design and develop products for additive manufacturing, focusing on performance, quality, reliability, cost, and ease of manufacturing.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of additive manufacturing processes.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge in DfAM.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering and design, with a strong background in DfAM.
- Mastery of 3D CAD software and experience with simulation and optimization tools.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to grow company culture.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling and ability to monitor progress to schedule.
- Computer - MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 3D CAD Software (Solidworks, Inventor, Fusion 360, Onshape, SpaceClaim, SolidEdge, and/or Siemens NX)
- DfAM Software (nTop, Netfabb, Ansys Additive Suite, and/or Altair Sulis)
