Position Summary:
As an Antenna Design Engineer, you will collaborate with a skilled, cross-functional team to conceptualize and engineer cutting-edge consumer products. Your role will involve close cooperation with internal teams and external partners to drive essential aspects of product definition, design, optimization, implementation, and testing.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define antenna concepts and specifications during the product development phase.
- Lead the design, optimization, implementation, and validation of antenna systems across various product lines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-level antenna and RF challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and performance standards for over-the-air (OTA) performance.
- Assist the operations team with antenna manufacturing testing.
- Support the sustaining team in addressing antenna-related issues in the field.
- Collaborate within project teams, taking ownership of WiFi and Bluetooth implementations, while characterizing and resolving desense and EMI challenges.
- Mentor junior team members.
- This role may require international travel.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Innovate and design compact antennas operating between 600 MHz and 7 GHz for Amazon products.
- Enhance and refine antenna design processes.
- Guide antenna designs from concept to manufacturing for products such as Echo Frames, Ring, and Blink.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in antenna design related to 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products.
- Proven experience in designing small form factor devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in antenna design for 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products.
- Strong understanding of antenna fundamentals and radiation theory, along with EM simulation experience.
- Experience in designing and innovating LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi/BT, UWB, and mm-wave antennas for compact devices.

Compensation:
The compensation package reflects the labor market across various U.S. geographic areas. The base salary for this position ranges from $105,600 to $185,000 per year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
