The Role:


As a Consumer Electronics Antenna Designer, you will collaborate with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products.

You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test.

You must be responsive, flexible, and attentive to details, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of Antenna systems into products, including:

Define antenna concepts and requirements during product definition

Lead antenna design, optimization, implementation, and validation across product programs

Identify, debug, and resolve system-level Antenna-RF issues

Achieve all regulatory and performance goals for OTA performance

Support the operations team for Antenna manufacturing test

Support the sustaining team for Antenna sustaining and field issues

Work within a project team and take responsibility for the WiFi, BT implementation Characterize and debug desense and EMI issues to meet requirements

Mentor team members.

This position will require international travel

Innovate and Design miniaturized antennas covering 600 MHz-7 GHz for Amazon products


Develop and optimize the Antenna design processes- Take an antenna design from concept to Manufacturing for Echo frames, Ring, and Blink products.



Requirements:

  • 3+ years of antenna design experience related to 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products
  • Experience designing small form factor devices
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years of antenna design experience related to 3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products
  • Knowledge of antenna fundamentals and radiation theory EM simulation experience
  • Experience designing and innovating LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi/BT, UWB, mm-wave Antennas for Small form factor devices
