Key Responsibilities

The Assembler will execute daily tasks in assigned roles as directed by the Manufacturing Manager or Team Lead. This role requires adaptability to work across various production lines and collaborate with different team members to support the overall production objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to identify and address process inefficiencies, striving to enhance internal operations for optimal customer service, quality, and teamwork.
  • Monitor production metrics as assigned and report any defects or issues to the supervisor or line lead, providing detailed descriptions to facilitate improvements.
  • Ensure that all production materials are readily available on the line and uphold the principles of 5S to maintain best practices.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Engage in Operational Excellence initiatives, including Continuous Improvement Events and Rapid Improvement Events.
  • Comply with scheduled work hours and attendance policies, and perform any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Accountability

Maintain the highest ethical standards in all aspects of employment and adhere to IDEX's Standards of Conduct and Business Ethics Policy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with JDE software.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks on the production line within established time standards.
  • Basic mathematical skills for metric calculations.
  • Capability to operate all equipment on the designated line.
  • Strong communication skills to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of 6S principles and the ability to maintain them across all lines.
  • The ability to train new employees effectively.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the capacity to adapt to changes in business processes.
Physical Requirements

This position requires:

  • Lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing for 8 to 10 hours daily.
  • Using air and electric power tools.
  • The ability to work harmoniously with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Working in environments without air conditioning.
