Pharmacist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist II to join our team at Finger Lakes Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care services.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide pharmacy services and support patient care.
• Supervise the distribution of pharmaceuticals to patients and provide education on safe and effective use.
• Provide pharmacokinetic, antibiotic, and parenteral nutrition consults to physicians as needed.
• Act as a shift supervisor for Pharmacy Technicians and oversee pharmacy information systems.
• Implement changes and upgrades to the automated medication dispensing system.

• Minimum: BS in Pharmacy and current NYS Pharmacist license (or eligible).
• Preferred: PharmD and one year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.

• Minimum: Familiarity with unit dose systems, preparation of intravenous admixtures, parenteral nutrition solutions, and chemotherapy.
• Computer experience and knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing principles and principles involved in dosage adjustments and monitoring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Experience with Adverse Drug Reaction reporting and performance improvement programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
