Position: Healthcare Clinic Support Specialist

Location: Castle Rock

Hours: 36 hours per week (9 hours per day / 4 days per week)

Our practice has been dedicated to assisting both adult and pediatric patients with allergies, asthma, and immunology-related conditions for nearly 52 years. We are in search of a motivated, knowledgeable, and dependable individual to enhance our bustling clinic.

Role Purpose: This full-time role entails providing both direct and indirect care to adult and pediatric patients under the supervision of the Office Administrative Manager and the Clinic Manager. We seek an experienced and responsible candidate to add expertise and support to our thriving practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit proficiency as a Medical Office Assistant – this will be the primary focus during the initial months, followed by cross-training in back-office operations and Immunotherapy Injection Desk.
  • Deliver patient care, education, maintain records, conduct allergy testing and injections, manage allergic reactions and acute illnesses, adhering to established clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate competency in Clinic Assistant I and II Skill Modules within 120 days of employment; Clinic Assistant III Skill Modules within the first year.
  • Show proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by collaborating effectively with all team members.
  • Perform Front Desk & Cross-Training duties, including:
    • Handling front desk phone calls
    • Patient check-in/check-out
    • Appointment scheduling
    • Billing and insurance processing
    • Compliance with insurance regulations
  • Engage in ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across all departments.
  • Exhibit flexibility, professionalism, and a high degree of motivation.
  • Maintain open communication and foster a team-oriented atmosphere with all personnel.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate self-starting capabilities.
  • Participate in a rotation for a minimum of one half-day Saturday per month, with per diem compensation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or
  2. Licensed Medical Technician, or
  3. A combination of relevant experience and education
  4. Current CPR Certification
