Duke Health is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security Office, you will play a critical role in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, manage, and monitor technical, administrative, and physical controls to protect our information assets.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, research, and management staff to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses and recommend remediation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide guidance on security best practices and awareness training to our staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related clinical or technical field, or four years of equivalent technical experience.
  • One or more information security industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent) are required for Level 3.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related clinical or technical field.
  • Experience with security information event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and virtual private network (VPN) systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and IT management frameworks, such as FISMA, NIST information security standards, and HIPAA Security and/or Privacy Rules.
