Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures, providing exceptional patient care and support.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including patient information, examination results, and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the educational training of students, sharing knowledge and expertise to support the development of future healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
