Role Overview: As a member of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our facilities. This position is vital to the advancement of space exploration and requires a commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute duties as directed by Security Management, including managing access through the Visitor Management System and addressing inquiries at guard posts.
  • Assist with special events and respond to urgent situations as assigned by Security Management.
  • Understand and implement Blue Origin's badging policies to accurately issue visitor credentials.
  • React promptly to emergency scenarios, including fire, medical, or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular patrols as required.
  • Be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Possession or eligibility for a valid state security officer license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain physical readiness.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to various environmental conditions.
  • Capability to navigate stairs, ramps, or ladders during shifts.
  • Ability to foster trust and maintain professional relationships.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Two or more years of experience in military, law enforcement, or corporate security.
  • Proficiency in managing critical incidents.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with current security technologies.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • High standards of integrity and character.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively.
