A Culinary Specialist is a committed individual tasked with preparing all menu offerings with efficiency and consistency while following company standards and culinary techniques. This role requires a service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Our Culinary Specialists have a comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. They operate with accuracy and speed, adhering to industry best practices to guarantee exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a Food Handler ServSafe Certification
  • Set up and organize workstations with essential items and cooking tools
  • Execute food preparation tasks including butchering, slicing, and cooking a variety of food items
  • Utilize various kitchen tools and equipment to cook different ingredients
  • Ensure that dishes meet quality standards and are presented attractively
  • Follow directives from chefs and supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Oversee inventory and storage in accordance with proper protocols
  • Coordinate food serving times effectively
  • Engage positively with team members and patrons
  • Assist with inventory management and maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations
  • Stay informed about industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in meetings and functions as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Culinary Certification is preferred
  • Food Handler's Safety Certification is mandatory
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for high-quality food, particularly farm-to-table cuisine
  • Strong understanding of professional kitchen operations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant functions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Physically fit to meet the demands of the kitchen
