About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at South Hill Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our hospital team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide first-class customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Patient Care: Assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care, including digital and dental radiography, anesthesia, and surgical monitoring.
  • Dental Care: Provide dental prophylaxis and educate clients on patient care and dental health.
  • Lab Work: Perform in-house lab work and process samples for outside lab testing.
  • Phlebotomy and Injections: Place IV catheters, perform phlebotomy, and administer injections as needed.
  • Critical Care: Manage, treat, and monitor critically ill and emergent patients.
  • Technology: Familiarity with the Avimark system is a plus, but not required.
  • Multi-Tasking: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other hospital staff, providing clear and concise information.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in the State of Washington or be a newly graduated veterinary technician.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year experience preferred, but new graduates welcome.
  • Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

  • Competitive Pay: Starting pay range of $23 per hour with minimum one year experience, starting pay of $21 per hour with no experience.
