Job Description

The City of Goodland Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Patrol Officer. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, investigating crimes and accidents, and providing public assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public safety and order
  • Investigate crimes and accidents to gather evidence and interview witnesses
  • Provide public assistance and support to the community
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Have the ability to obtain a valid Kansas Driver's License
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform law enforcement duties
  • Must not have been convicted of a crime of domestic violence, certain misdemeanor crimes, or any felony
