Audubon is actively seeking a Senior Process Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team. The Senior Process Engineer will undertake process-engineering tasks related to the design of equipment, components, structures, or systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently create intermediate to advanced specifications for project tasks that outline client performance expectations, specific component requirements, design criteria, relevant design codes, and vendor drawing specifications.
  • Generate engineering sketches, conduct engineering calculations, and develop analytical models for complex project tasks.
  • Review and/or endorse vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Effectively interact and communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other consultants.
  • Establish realistic expectations and ensure that assigned projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Adhere to company quality standards and follow engineering review and approval protocols.
  • Comply with all company and client health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.
  • Actively engage in company and client hazard identification and observation initiatives, promptly reporting any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents to your supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the drafting/design team to develop and review engineering drawings.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
  • Inspect vendor facilities to ensure equipment meets specifications.
  • Prepare inquiries and purchase requisitions along with bid tabulations related to equipment acquisitions.
  • Verify engineering drawings and mathematical calculations.
  • Follow safe design practices while focusing on identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Plan and manage workload, budgets, and project resources, seeking assistance as needed.
  • Develop, review, and/or approve conceptual and detailed engineering design packages.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET Accredited Institution is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • PE license is required.
  • Field experience is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading medium/large multi-discipline projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HYSYS, ProMax, or equivalent software is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of conceptual through detailed design and P&ID development is preferred.
  • Understanding of codes (API, etc.) and Process design standards is preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to resolve issues or achieve objectives.
  • Capability to proactively address work-related challenges.
