Supply Chain Coordinator (Parts Division)
Scrap Metal Services, LLC, a prominent player in the industrial services and metal recycling sector, is on the lookout for a highly capable Supply Chain Coordinator to enhance our Parts Division. This role is pivotal in supporting the maintenance team by overseeing the procurement of parts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely repairs. The Coordinator will report directly to the Site Manager and will play a crucial role in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Input parts and service requests into the BSM system (Coupa) and ensure accurate receipt of goods and services on a daily basis.
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers and logistics providers to track deliveries.
- Alert the maintenance supervisor promptly regarding any delays in critical deliveries.
- Collaborate with vendors and the purchasing department to address any invoicing discrepancies that may hinder essential shipments.
- Oversee warranty programs, ensuring timely claims and resolution of warranty-related issues.
- Ensure the return of all equipment cores to secure full core credits.
- Engage in cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce expenses and enhance profitability.
- Manage the tracking and ordering of critical spare parts inventory.
- Oversee the replenishment of stockroom inventory.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, aligning with company values to achieve organizational goals, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Participate actively in both internal and external business meetings.
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with employees, customers, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in parts ordering or within a parts department.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret and understand equipment service manuals.
- Proven capability to work independently, as part of a team, and to lead by example.
