About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Physicist to join our team at Inova Health System. As a key member of our medical physics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation in our hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement radiation therapy plans
  • Conduct investigations and fact-finding to ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and implement radiation shielding solutions
  • Develop and maintain dosimetry protocols to ensure accurate radiation dosing
  • Provide medical physics coverage as needed to support clinical operations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical and dosimetry literature in the field of radiation therapy
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physics or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Clinical Medical Physics
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification
  • Virginia Inspector certification within the first two months of hire
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
