Position Overview

Nemours Children's Health is in search of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Full-Time, to become a vital part of our team.

Work Schedule: Full-time dayshift role with weekend rotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct analytical procedures in accordance with Blood Bank Laboratory protocols, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to established standards.
  • Manage assigned laboratory duties and maintain communication with supervisory staff regarding monthly responsibilities.
  • Participate in inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accurately reporting test results.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment, taking ownership of its performance.
  • Receive and properly store Stem Cell Products and Human Tissue Allografts, following all relevant protocols.
  • Stay updated on technical and administrative procedures, reviewing changes and ensuring compliance with section protocols.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all materials are properly recorded and stored.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication with clinical staff and patients.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including chemical safety and infection control measures.
  • Train new staff and students as assigned, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (B.S.M.T. or equivalent) is required.
  • Proven clinical laboratory technical skills.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
