The Center for Social Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our School Services Team, you will play a vital role in providing educational and behavioral services to children and adults with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
- Provide behavior assistance and interventions to assigned clients, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans, working closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.
- Document session notes, progress, and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, providing clear and concise information and updates.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Current CPR certification and ability to obtain any necessary certifications or training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
