Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health care and a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations to determine the appropriate level of care for patients.
- Manage psychotropic medications and provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide direct care to patients through various activities, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic procedures.
- Document and bill for direct care provided.
- Participate in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current licensure as a Physician Assistant, or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of one year of mental health provider experience preferred.
- Currently licensed in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant or as a PMHNP with the SC Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience working in a behavioral health hospital or similar setting.
- Knowledge of current research and evidence-based decision-making in mental health care.
