WestLand Resources is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our Arizona team. This role can be performed from various locations and will enhance our core services by developing applications for field data collection and generating maps to support various environmental permitting and assessment documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining applications for field data collection utilizing ESRI Field Apps.
  • Creating and managing maps and associated geospatial documentation.
  • Designing web-based GIS layers and geoportals using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise systems.
  • Supporting proposal and pre-project planning efforts.
  • Handling large datasets efficiently.
  • Providing guidance and acting as a resource for GIS Technicians and junior GIS Analysts.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred. However, additional years of relevant experience may compensate for educational qualifications.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing and developing GIS systems and applications.
  • A profound understanding of spatial concepts and theories.
  • Expertise in ESRI field data applications and GPS technology.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in managing ArcSDE databases and SQL tables is preferred.
  • Experience with CAD is a plus.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $99,000 annually.
