Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory support for patients on ventilators, including monitoring, evaluating, and making clinical judgments.
  • Perform therapeutic modalities with a full understanding of pathophysiology and indication for therapy.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations in the therapies rendered.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in activities that enhance the role and recognition of the registered respiratory therapist.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Licensure in State of Connecticut, Dept. of Public Health License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Maintain Registry Credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Maintain Connecticut State Licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Working Conditions:

  • Significant manual skills / motor coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Some occupational risk.
  • Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force.
  • Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
