Industrial Refrigeration Specialist

Job Title: Refrigeration / HVAC Technician
Nassau Candy, a rapidly growing importer, manufacturer, and distributor of candy, specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products, is seeking a skilled Refrigeration / HVAC Technician to join our team in Hicksville, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems across all locations
- Troubleshoot and repair cooling tunnels, walk-in refrigeration, freezers, boilers, and other equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and checks to ensure equipment is operational
- Respond to daily work assignments in a timely manner
- Install, test, and repair various types of equipment used in HVAC
- Monitor and record work time and materials used; establish SOPs for recurring work
- Follow blueprint specifications and ensure necessary resources are available (tools, materials, etc.)
Qualifications:
- EPA 608 universal certification required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial maintenance operations (10+ years preferred)
- Availability to work overtime
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work
- Knowledgeable in Desiccant Dehumidifiers
- Familiarity with CMMS
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
- Knowledgeable of the food industry
- Ability to operate collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong electrical knowledge
