Non-Destructive Testing Specialist

This role involves conducting non-destructive testing inspections during the manufacturing process and on-site inspections during disassembly and repair procedures. It requires applying technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills for a collaborative work setting. You will collaborate with the inspection department, assist with advanced inspection and mechanic tasks in your designated area, support production processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in training within the assigned work cells.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct non-destructive testing component inspections as necessary
- Assist in manufacturing execution system close-out and gate 1 closure
- Aid cell leader/operations technician in achieving production targets and objectives
- Provide training on inspection procedures to other inspectors/mechanics
- Ensure work scopes and revisions comply with customer and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate dedication to environmental health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to policies and procedures, completing required training, and supporting relevant committee activities
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as per program/contract restrictions
- Experience in engine overhaul and repair in disciplines such as non-destructive testing level 1 certification, fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), inspection, disassembly, or assembly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must be a U.S. citizen. Some system/tool access requires U.S. citizenship
Raytheon Technologies complies with FAA regulations and is classified as safety-sensitive by the FAA. Drug and alcohol testing is mandatory for pre-employment and ongoing random testing as per FAA guidelines.
Role Type:This role is classified as onsite, meaning employees primarily work at the workplace, including all production and maintenance staff essential for engine development.
