Position Overview:

This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and their families, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides comprehensive nursing care in alignment with established nursing standards. (30%)
  • Assists in preparing medical equipment and supports the physician or clinical provider during patient examinations and treatments. (20%)
  • Gathers assessment data, readies patients for examinations, and accurately documents clinical information in patient records. (20%)
  • Orders diagnostic tests as instructed by the registered nurse or physician, and reviews test results prior to clinical assessment. (20%)
  • Coordinates scheduling of procedures and secures necessary authorizations. (5%)
  • Administers injections or medications, collects laboratory specimens, and prepares them for analysis. (5%)
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Completion of a state-approved IV therapy course.
  • Familiarity with OASIS documentation and assessment processes.
  • PALS or ACLS certification may be required based on specific practice areas.
