Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at TulaRay, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of individuals with mental or physical injuries or illnesses, as well as those with developmental disabilities or difficulty meeting their daily living activities. You will work in a Commonwealth facility, implementing nursing care plans and performing a variety of practical nursing and individual/patient/resident/inmate care duties. This includes preparing, administering, and recording medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, observing and reporting changes in physical and emotional behavior, and taking and recording vital signs. You will also participate in carrying out the total treatment program, including habilitation and rehabilitation programs established by the interdisciplinary treatment team. Additionally, you may be responsible for charge duties, overseeing unlicensed personnel, and requesting professional evaluation, treatment, or emergency care as needed.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, administer, and record medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
Observe and report changes in physical and emotional behavior
Take and record vital signs
Participate in carrying out the total treatment program, including habilitation and rehabilitation programs
May be responsible for charge duties, overseeing unlicensed personnel, and requesting professional evaluation, treatment, or emergency care as needed

Requirements:

Current Pennsylvania License for Practical Nurse or eligibility to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
Ability to enter health data for residents into electronic medical records database
