We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System.

About the Role:

The Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist will be responsible for preparing equipment, providing patient care, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This role requires strong collaboration with cardiologists and leadership to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
  • Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
  • Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
  • Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS certification, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
