SaVida Health is a specialty medical practice providing outpatient opiate and alcohol addiction treatment services. Our care model includes medical care, counseling, comprehensive toxicology testing, case management, and medical management of psychiatric medications. We provide compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support those with substance use disorder.
Job Summary
The independently licensed clinician will provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to clients in an outpatient setting. This role requires some knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health counseling. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or other allied health field and be independently licensed as an LCMHC, LADC, or LICSW. One year of experience working in the substance misuse treatment field and one year of experience working in the mental health counseling field are required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, provide individual, couples, and/or group counseling, and have excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are essential. Bilingual/bicultural skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to clients in an outpatient setting
Complete all relevant paperwork in a timely fashion as required by agency, regulatory bodies, and managed care organizations
Provide continuity of quality care as evidenced by documentation/communication with collaborative providers and agencies
Provide referrals for alternative levels of care as needed
Act as client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
Document all clinical content per agency requirements
Review client progress on a quarterly basis and update treatment plans to reflect changes in treatment plan goals
Requirements
Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or other allied health field
Independent licensure as an LCMHC, LADC, or LICSW
One year of experience working in the substance misuse treatment field
One year of experience working in the mental health counseling field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills
Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred
