Mission Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Implement plans of care, including TPN, PCA, tube feeds, ostomy, biliary drains, urinary catheters, IV antibiotics, wound care, wound vacs, managing central lines, JP drains, NG tubes, and pain management with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, ensuring the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a commitment to obtaining a BSN within 5 years of hire date.
- Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing.
- Required License/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in General Surgery.
- Required Experience: One year of nursing experience.
