Orthopedic Technician

At The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician to join our team at our 210 Clinic in St. Johns, FL. As a key member of our musculoskeletal medicine team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and adjust fiberglass casts and assemble and attach orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by the physician.
• Educate patients on the proper care of casts/splints and proper usage of medical devices.
• Maintain accurate log sheets and spreadsheets as required by the Department.
• Place orders using calculated par levels and adjust based on clinic factors.
• Work with the Authorization Team to determine patient financial responsibility and communicate this to patients.
• Ensure work areas are kept organized and tidy.
• Report new usage trends to the Practice Manager.
• Perform a visual review of inventory daily to ensure adequate stock for upcoming clinics.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Technician, or Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Minimum one-year job-related experience with a medical facility preferred.
