About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician to join our team at The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our orthopedic clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply and adjust fiberglass casts and assemble and attach orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by the physician.
  • Educate patients on the proper care of casts/splints and proper usage of DME items.
  • Maintain accurate log sheets and spreadsheets as required by the Department.
  • Place orders using calculated par levels and adjust based on clinic factors.
  • Work with the Authorization Team to determine patient financial responsibility and communicate this to patients.
  • Ensure work areas are organized and tidy, and report new usage trends to the Practice Manager.
  • Perform a visual review of inventory daily to ensure adequate stock for upcoming clinics.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Technician, or Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Minimum one-year job-related experience with a medical facility preferred.
