Job Summary

Dover Food Retail is a leading manufacturer of display cases, refrigeration systems, and comprehensive services. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and shipping containers.
  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage or manufacturing areas.
  • Process, sort, and stage cargo to prevent damage from inventory.
  • Understand the daily operations of the shipping department.
  • Open containers and load materials into vehicles, securing them with strapping, bracing, or padding.
  • Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Operate the banding machine and stack or assemble materials into bundles.
  • Rig or dismantle props and equipment, and lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist.
  • Responsible for general yard duties and possess basic computer skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Basic reading and writing skills, with the ability to read and understand job specifications.
