CHC Consulting, a Congruex Company, is seeking a skilled Field Inspector to join our fiber engineering team. As a Field Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our field surveys and data collection.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and document pole information, including measurements and placement.
- Conduct aerial pole line data capture and underground data collection.
- Inspect and classify utility poles, gathering information on aerial attachment heights and clearances.
- Conduct underground/buried cable layout surveys and accurately depict new construction route opportunities.
- Ensure vehicle and tools are maintained to company safety standards.
- Take clear images of job sites, pole conditions, and other relevant structures or landmarks.
- Upload and edit documents in Project Management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Familiarity with equipment used on the job, including Geode GNS3, height stick, measuring wheel, GPS, etc.
- Arithmetic ability to produce necessary calculations.
- Computer skills to operate drafting, map-making, and geographic information software.
- Analytical skills to interpret data compiled by equipment.
- Ability to lift or pull items weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Enough stamina to stand and move throughout an eight-hour work shift.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience in the engineering, construction, architecture, or telecommunications industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications design and the ability to support engineering.
