Airworthiness Planning Role



This position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation supports Service Center Operations projects. As an Aircraft Planner II, you will work closely with Scheduling and the Business Office to achieve the goals and objectives of Service Center Operations.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Material Planning: Establishes Bill of Material and forwards to Spares for timely ordering and receipt of parts and materials before aircraft arrival.

  2. Project Coordination: Performs follow-up on due dates for material to resolve timing problems affecting aircraft project plans.

  3. Job Requirements Determination: Determines job requirements from support groups for each project, including Custom Engineering, Service Engineering, Back Shops, and Outside Vendors.

  4. Project Scheduling: Downloads CMP as required, adjusting for concurrent tasks and hours needed to complete each project.

  5. Work Order Management: Establishes and/or adjusts work descriptions and standard hours, keeping the work order system in sync with standard hours.

  6. Project Planning: Develops a project flow chart working from database templates and operations to preplan each project.

  7. Operational Support: Supports Operations with all requirements for project planning.


Additional Functions

  1. Training and Support: Conducts training for other planners and fills in for Group Leader and/or Scheduler, if applicable.


Requirements

  1. Excellent Communication: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  2. Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

  3. Confidentiality: Ability to retain confidential information is necessary.

  4. Aircraft Knowledge: Familiarity with aircraft terminology, components, and systems, including FAA regulations.

  5. Inspection Requirements: Very familiar with inspection requirements and CMP.

  6. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
