As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Okta Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will be instrumental in advancing identity and access management initiatives within a zero trust framework. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting extensive IAM projects tailored for governmental entities. You will evaluate the identity lifecycle, articulate access necessities, and establish comprehensive identity records.
Your role will allow you to broaden your IAM knowledge by designing, deploying, and maintaining systems that validate user privileges and manage credentials for accessing our clients' most critical resources. From implementing single sign-on solutions to managing privileged access systems, you will deploy enterprise-grade solutions to thwart potential threats.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering IAM systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in supporting large-scale access management solutions.
- Proficient in implementing Okta or Ping Identity IAM solutions for over 3 years.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and protocols related to authentication, authorization, and privilege access management.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with various Identity and Access Management platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Azure AD, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Oracle, or CA Identity Management.
- Background in software development and experience working within an Agile delivery framework.
- Ability to present technical information to senior leadership effectively.
- Understanding of Enterprise Directory architecture.
- Knowledge of different Access Control Frameworks, including NIST.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Work Environment:
Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position allows for remote or hybrid work, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If the role is onsite, in-person collaboration with colleagues and clients will be necessary.
