The Barb's Place Pub Programming Specialist is responsible for creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere at La Verne University's Abraham Campus Center. This role will collaborate with various university departments and external partners to establish and execute events, programs, and initiatives that promote student engagement, community building, and campus life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement event strategies to enhance student experience and campus culture
- Collaborate with Bon Appetit and other university departments to create engaging programming and events
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support event execution
- Monitor and evaluate event effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to event planning and execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or related field
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
