Faculty Position in Osteopathic Medicine

We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to serve as course director and instructor for our clerkship courses on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry-creditable knowledge covering the breadth of program course content, and understanding of osteopathic principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum, oversee academic administrative duties, and develop objectives and outcome measures to assess student performance.
  • Evaluate current literature and industry research pertaining to curricular programs, and assist in the design and definition of the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and counseling to students, and comply with Higher Education Policy Commission requirements.
  • Teach and facilitate courses as requested by LECOM leadership, create presentations, and deliver lectures via LECOM CANVAS LMS and ZOOM video conferencing.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong leadership skills, industry-creditable knowledge covering the breadth of program course content, and understanding of osteopathic principles and practices.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulations, patient privacy (HIPAA), and student privacy (FERPA), as well as OSHA and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, consistent with a workplace of dignity and respect, and accept work directives from managers and supervisors in a respectful, professional, and cooperative manner.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
