Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate various mechanical cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, carpet extractors, and pressure washers.
- Maintain Sanitary Conditions: Maintain facilities in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Disinfect High-Touch Areas: Disinfect high-touch areas daily upon request or during seasonal issues, such as flu season.
- Dispose of Waste: Dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials as required.
- Clean and Restock Facilities: Clean and disinfect bathroom facilities, replenish bathroom supplies, and restock paper supplies and soap in dispensers.
- Perform Floor Care: Sweep, mop, scrub, disinfect, and vacuum floors, stairwells, elevators, and related areas. Strip, wax, and polish floors as needed.
- Dust and Polish Furniture: Dust and polish furniture, tabletops, file cabinets, bookcases, and other related woodwork.
- Clean Walls and Ceilings: Wash and clean walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and ceiling fixtures, such as lights, radiators, and HVAC registers.
- Provide Coverage: Provide coverage to additional areas when co-workers are absent.
- Report Repairs and Safety Issues: Report any needed building repairs or safety issues to supervisor.
- Comply with Regulations: Comply with all regulations, including OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: At least 6 months of previous custodial experience is preferred.
