Position Overview: Our esteemed federal client is in search of a skilled Linux Systems Engineer with a robust background in Solaris and Linux. This role requires a presence onsite for a few days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a development team of approximately 50 members by overseeing the installation, configuration, and management of Linux OS virtual machines alongside Solaris physical systems.
  • Facilitate the deployment and administration of Java-based web applications.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of application clusters, connection pooling, and proxy users within WebSphere.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is between $45 and $50 per hour, with a potential salary of $100,000 upon conversion.
