Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments and patient care equipment in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
  • Set controls to specific time and temperature requirements for sterilization and complete documentation records.
  • Monitor and perform antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing daily.
  • Assemble and package instruments and procedure trays using content lists as guides.
  • Distribute sterilized items to storage areas in a timely manner.
  • Practice safe handling of instruments and supplies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification required.
  • At least one year of experience as a sterile processing technician preferred.
