Job Summary

The Texas General Land Office is seeking an experienced Inspector IV to join the Energy Resources Department. This role involves conducting complex inspections of oil and gas production facilities to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and agency policies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct highly complex inspections of state mineral leases within assigned territory for compliance with rules, regulations, and oil and gas lease terms.

Gather and analyze production data to identify areas of non-compliance.

Prepare formal, detailed reports of inspection data and make recommendations for corrective actions.

Develop and implement strategies to improve inspection efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent.

Five (5) additional years of full-time experience related to the inspection of oil and gas production facilities.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university may substitute for full-time oil and gas production facilities related experience on a year-for-year basis.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent and five (5) additional years of full-time experience related to the inspection of oil and gas production facilities.

Preferred qualifications: five (5) years of full-time experience related to the inspection of oil and gas production facilities and familiarity with standard industry oil and gas production components.
