Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Eligibility Worker/Human Services Specialist 3 to join our team at the Oregon Department of Human Services. This role involves determining financial eligibility for various programs, processing applications, and referring applicants to appropriate agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine eligibility for Oregon Department of Human Services programs, including Medicaid, SNAP, ERDC, and TANF.
  • Process new and re-certifying applications by reviewing financial and non-financial situations.
  • Refer applicants with additional needs to relevant agencies.
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience determining eligibility for an agency program.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience relative to the class concept.
Working Conditions:
  • Contact with the public, including individuals experiencing emotional and financial stress.
